As a firm, we give our client’s work the attention that it deserves as the same is personally attended to by the advocates who are always on the standby in case of any urgent query to them.
We do believe in harmonious growth with our clients as they are the very cornerstone of our existence. We always endeavour to identify our client’s needs and objectives after which we work towards adopting the same in our firms operations.
Client Update and Legal Opinions
We keep our clients fully abreast of all developments in each matter. We also advise them on the possible cost outlay at the outset to enable them plan their financial position. We in particular advise our client on the legal position vis a vis the circumstances while at the same time proffering our professional recommendations.
Turnaround time
It is the firm's policy that "legal supports business". We appreciate that any assignment handed over to us by a client is meant to facilitate, support, enhance or secure the client's core business. Bearing this in mind, we strive to procure the expected results of the assignment within the shortest time possible. In conveyance, we aim at completing assignments within 10 working days. For agreements and contracts, we keep to the deadlines. In litigation, we move as fast as the court diary can allow.
FEE POLICY
Disbursements
On disbursements, which include the court filing fees, services of summons, stamp duty, registration of documents fees, postage and other outgoings; we call for a deposit on account bearing in mind the projected costs. We strive to keep them to the absolute minimum and are always supported by receipts. At the conclusion of an assignment, we take accounts and settle the figures..
Professional fees
The fees payable are ordinarily determined by the Advocates (Remuneration Amendment) Order of 2006 which sets out the various scales. Upon receiving instructions in litigation, we call for a deposit of about 30% of the projected costs, in the course of the matter we call for 30% and the final 40% upon conclusion of a matter. In conveyance, we are able to conclude a matter and call for settlement of our fees thereafter.
CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
As a firm we realize that our successes as individuals and as a firm has been enabled by the support we have received from the society. In return we endeavour to offer pro borno services to the less fortunate members of our society in need. We are currently working for Huruma Children’s Home in Ngong. We also undertake work from FIDA and Kituo Cha Sheria.
PROFESSIONAL INDEMNITY COVER
We carry a professional indemnity cover of Kenya Shillings Twenty Million (Kshs. 20,000,000/=) with the Heritage Insurance Company Limited.
